Last weekend I met Steph and Josh out near the beaches of Daytona to take their engagement photos, and the afternoon turned out to be a beautiful one! We enjoyed the breeze as we walked on sandy trails along the shoreline, the beach and a local pier. They picked the location because they enjoy spending time in the area, taking strolls near the lighthouse or admiring the view from the lookout tower. They were a lot of fun to shoot, and I enjoyed listening to Steph’s Boston accent as she shared stories about her and Josh. I think their admiration for one another and playfulness came through in their photographs, so please enjoy!

Jill and Luke’s Engagement Session

My good friends Jill and Luke are tying the knot this year, and happened to be in town for a weekend where we could shoot their engagement photos.
We started off in the downtown area of Winter Garden, FL, and worked our way to a park near Lake Apopka. A day that started off with rain turned out perfectly the minute I pulled out my camera to take the first shot. We encountered snakes, prickly thorns and “run-a-way trains” along the way, which made for an exciting engagement session.
It was really easy to photograph Jill and Luke because both are so light-hearted and goofy– and of course they are adorable together, so all the photos turned out wonderful. I’m just happy I could play a small part in their big day coming up.
Photographing My First Engagement Session
I recently shot my first engagement session and I must say I got lucky. I spent the morning with Alyssa and Cody and they made it easy to get some beautiful shots. We started by a small pier on Random Lake, WI where they got engaged and later headed into town to get some shots by this brick building with an amazing leafy vine that really complemented Alyssa’s shirt! I was honored they thought of me to take these special photos and I had a lot of fun doing it. We laughed, we trespassed, and then we ate Panera. What could be better?
I wanted to post only a few photos of the morning, but there were so many lovely shots I couldn’t decide! So here’s more than a couple…
